The accident occurred at around 4:20 p.m. on November 8, at Km 1386+250 of Ho Chi Minh Road (in Phuoc Nang Commune, Da Nang City).
At that time, the tractor trailer with license plate 82H-004.71 towing a trailer 82R-002.52 was driven by driver Nguyen Van Loc (born in 1991, residing in Quang Ngai province), traveling in the direction of Quang Ngai - Da Nang.
When arriving at the above location, the tractor-trailer collided with a truck with license plate 76H-011.69 driven by driver Vo Thanh Doo (born in 1989, residing in Da Nang City), carrying Mr. Pham Viet Thinh (born in 1994, residing in Phuoc Son Commune, Da Nang City) traveling in the opposite direction.
The direct, very strong collision caused truck driver Vo Thanh Tao to die on the spot, and Mr. Thinh to suffer minor injuries. At the scene, both vehicles were severely damaged, with the front of the vehicle deformed.
Upon receiving the report, the functional forces of Phuoc Son commune and Phuoc Nang commune police promptly arrived at the scene, coordinated to take the injured to the emergency room, divert traffic and conduct an investigation to clarify the cause of the accident.
