On June 24, the Thang Long Project Management Board said that at around 10:00 a.m. the same day, a truck with license plate 73C-073.xx was traveling on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway (South - North direction), when it reached Km538+100 through Cam Hung commune, Cam Xuyen district, it suddenly overturned.
After overturning, the car completely blocked a lane of the expressway in the South - North direction. The accident did not cause any human casualties but caused severe damage to the vehicle.
Immediately after the incident, the Traffic Police force coordinated with the investor and related units to urgently block off the scene, temporarily divert traffic to avoid congestion and ensure safety for other vehicles.
By noon of the same day, rescue work was deployed to move the vehicles in distress, clear the blocked lane, and restore normal traffic on the expressway.
According to the project management unit, the section where the incident occurred has a flat road surface, a full system of signs and ensures traffic safety. The initial cause may be that the driver could not control the steering wheel.
