On the afternoon of July 25, news from the Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) said that it had just issued an administrative fine for a driver for the violation of "having a driver's license but not suitable for the type of vehicle being driven", a fine of 19 million VND.
Recently, during a patrol on the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway through Van Thang commune, the traffic police discovered a 29-seat passenger car with license plate 50H-364.XX driven by driver H.K.L (27 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City).
At this time, the bus was carrying 13 passengers, traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Gia Lai.
Through inspection, driver L only presented a B2 driver's license - a type that is only allowed to drive a passenger car with less than 9 seats, which is not suitable for a 29-seat passenger car being driven.
In addition to the fine of 19 million VND for the driver, the vehicle owner was also fined for "granting over the vehicle or allowing an unqualified person to drive the vehicle to participate in traffic".
Accordingly, the vehicle owner will wear a dress with a fine of 58 million VND. The violating vehicle was temporarily detained to serve the handling.
According to Team 6, this is just one of many violations discovered during regular patrols to restore traffic safety and order on the expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Khanh Hoa.
In the coming time, the unit will continue to conduct peak inspections, especially strictly handling potential acts of risk of causing accidents such as driving a vehicle without a license, carrying more people than prescribed, speeding, etc.
