Import and export are bustling, Lang Son border gate opens to nearly 2,000 vehicles/day

Khánh Linh |

Lang Son - Import-export activities at border gates in the province are very vibrant, with nearly 29,000 vehicles cleared in just the first 17 days of July.

On July 18, Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy - Deputy Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone (KTCK) said that on July 17, nearly 2,000 vehicles carrying import and export goods completed customs clearance procedures through Lang Son province's border gates, an increase of more than 300 vehicles compared to the previous day.

According to the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, out of this total, 470 vehicles are exported goods, the rest are imported goods vehicles.

A large number of vehicles cleared were concentrated at Huu Nghi International Border Gate and Tan Thanh - Po Chai specialized road (area of landmark 1088/2 - 1089).

In response to the rapid increase in customs clearance demand, the authorities on both sides of the border have agreed to extend the import-export procedures at the two border gates mentioned above to 8:00 p.m. daily (Hanoi time). This adjustment helps improve processing capacity, significantly reducing congestion of goods at border gate areas.

It is forecasted that in the coming days, the number of import-export vehicles will continue to increase. The authorities are closely coordinating and regularly exchanging with the Chinese side to ensure smooth customs clearance operations.

Since the beginning of July, nearly 29,000 cargo vehicles have been cleared through the province's border gates. The authorities recommend that businesses closely monitor the situation at the border gate through the information channels of the Management Board of the Border Trade Zone, the Department of Industry and Trade and Customs to proactively regulate vehicles to avoid risks.
