Doctors and nurses of Quang Ninh province are ready to support Lam Dong province

Quang Ninh - The Quang Ninh Department of Health has just urgently reviewed and prepared human resources to support flooded areas in Lam Dong province.

On the afternoon of November 22, all supplies including about 3,000kg of Cloramin B, 30,000 Aquatabs, 500kg of alum, 100 life jackets, 50 sets of raincoats and 300 pairs of specialized boots were brought to the headquarters of the Fatherland Front Committee (FFF) of Quang Ninh province to be delivered to the flooded areas of Lam Dong province.

The leaders of the Department of Health also directly joined the provincial working group to Lam Dong province to grasp the actual situation in flooded areas, assess the need for medicine, clean water and disease risk after floods.

According to the Quang Ninh Department of Health, more than 250 medical staff have been mobilized and are always on standby.

The specific medical force includes 66 doctors, 132 nurses, 9 preventive medicine staff and forces from commune and ward health stations are ready.

These are experienced personnel who have participated in COVID-19 epidemic prevention and supported many localities in previous natural disasters.

Speaking to Lao Dong newspaper reporters, Mr. Doan Ngoc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Center for Disease Control of Quang Ninh province - said that the center is closely coordinating with the Center for Disease Control of Lam Dong province to grasp the demand for medical supplies and be ready for timely support. Currently, 9 officers and doctors of the Center are ready to leave, and can depart immediately upon orders.
