The “Art for Climate – Ha Long Bay 2025” festival is expected to take place from January 13 to January 19, 2025, attracting about 80,000 participants, including politicians, artists, environmental activists, investors and students. Notably, more than 200 world billionaires will attend the festival.
The event was organized by Arsuprema (France) to raise awareness about climate change, heritage conservation, honoring art and the special landscape of Ha Long Bay.
The festival includes a series of activities such as: Music festival with the participation of world-famous artists; Workshop on climate change response and marine conservation; Art exhibition, auction of precious artworks; International culinary event, honoring local cuisine.
To prepare for this event, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province has directed relevant units to soon put into operation three beaches: Soi Sim, Hang Co, and Trinh Nu in Ha Long Bay.
The sandbanks at the foot of the mountains in the areas between Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay will also be exploited, meeting the high-end demands of billionaires who come by superyacht.
These locations not only possess wild and poetic beauty but are also suitable for organizing exclusive experiences such as resorts, kayaking, coral diving and beach activities.
Research on organizing art performances combined with light parties in some qualified caves to create unique experiences for visitors.
Mr. Vu Kien Cuong - Head of Ha Long Bay Management Board - said: "According to the agencies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the event organizer, Ha Long Bay is expected to welcome 3 waves of world billionaire visitors in December 2024, January and February 2025. They are setting very strict experience requirements, especially those tourists interested in the overnight area, the area to experience services such as rowing, bathing on truly pristine sandy beaches.
The Bay Management Board has coordinated with the relevant departments to survey and identify two sandbanks, Ban Chan and Cat Oan. In addition, there are overnight accommodation areas at Tra San and Cong Do to meet their requirements.
Initially, this will be a trial activity. In the long term, we will invest in infrastructure to expand and welcome a larger number of guests."
