In 2010, Ian Callum - founder of Callum sketched the Jaguar C-X75 as a concept supercar with a hybrid powertrain.
The C-X75 was once promised to go into production, but this never materialized.
In 2015, when the James Bond movie: Spectre was released, the Jaguar C-X75 appeared with a V8 engine, after which the stunt cars from the movie were sold to private collectors. Now, Callum Design has transformed one of the few examples into a complete street-legal supercar.
This isn’t the first time Callum has modified a Jaguar C-X75 stunt car for a film. Earlier this year, the company made some modifications to make the car road legal in the UK. However, this time around, the upgrades are more comprehensive, from the powertrain, active aerodynamics to the interior.
This C-X75 underwent over 1,000 hours of bodywork refinement, reduced gaps, repainted in Willow Green, and added details like aluminum trim, a metal grille, and carbon accents at the rear.
The taillights have also been updated and the C-X75 emblem has been subtly engraved on the exhaust. Callum has also added an active aerodynamics package to increase stability, improve handling and add air brakes.
The C-X75’s interior has also been completely revamped, transforming the humble cabin in the film into a modern, luxurious space. The bucket seats are covered in Bridge of Weir leather, in a green and cream color scheme. A center console with tactile knobs and an integrated touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, a custom audio system, a digital rearview mirror and modern air conditioning have been equipped.
In terms of engine, the C-X75 still retains the 5.0L turbocharged V8 block but comes with a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, making the car easy to move in everyday traffic conditions. The suspension system has been refined and a hydraulic lift system has been added at the front to help the car overcome obstacles more easily.
