The AI Camera system of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security continues to show effectiveness in monitoring, detecting violations and supporting ensuring traffic order and safety. In just 24 hours, from 7 am on May 27 to 7 am on May 28, 2026, the system detected more than 140 violations, of which running red lights still accounted for a high proportion.
According to information announced by the Traffic Police Department on May 29, from 7:00 AM on May 27 to 7:00 AM on May 28, 2026, on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, AI cameras located at Km20 recorded 8,775 vehicle trips. Through the monitoring process, the system detected and warned 58 cases with signs of violation.
After inspection, functional forces identified 6 cases of actual violations, including 3 cases of speeding. The highest speed recorded was 113km/h.
At key intersections in Hanoi, AI cameras continue to detect many violations that pose a risk of serious traffic accidents. Among them, the system recorded 103 cases of running red lights at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection, all of which were motorbikes.
In addition, functional forces also discovered 39 cases of vehicle drivers not wearing helmets and 2 cases of going against traffic.
According to the Traffic Police Department, running red lights is still a common and particularly dangerous violation, one of the direct causes leading to many serious traffic accidents in urban areas, especially at intersections with high vehicle density.

In parallel with the automatic monitoring system, people also continue to accompany the traffic police force through channels to reflect traffic violations.
Accordingly, the Facebook page of the traffic police force received 150 feedbacks, of which 30 feedbacks were sufficient to be transferred to units for verification and handling. On the Zalo platform, 18 feedbacks were sent to functional agencies, of which 12 feedbacks were eligible for handling.
Notably, the VNeTraffic application received 402 traffic violation reports and has transferred 26 cases for verification. The most reported acts include not complying with traffic lights, going in the wrong lane, changing lanes incorrectly, avoiding overtaking incorrectly, stopping and parking in the wrong places, using phones when driving, going against traffic, entering prohibited roads, driving motorbikes on one wheel or not wearing helmets.
According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department, to date, the VNeTraffic application has 8,111,554 registered accounts, an increase of 14,696 accounts compared to the previous day. This shows the increasing interest and participation of people in ensuring traffic order and safety.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that traffic participants strictly comply with traffic lights, drive in the correct lane, use standard helmets when driving motorbikes and motorcycles; absolutely do not use phones while driving, do not go against traffic, run red lights or perform other dangerous acts.
According to the Traffic Police Department, each act of complying with traffic laws not only contributes to protecting traffic participants themselves but also helps build a civilized and safe traffic environment for the community.
