On October 18, information from the Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Province Police said that at 8:53 a.m. on October 16, on Provincial Road 295, Dong Nguyen Ward, Bac Ninh Province, the Working Group of the Traffic Police Department (Bac Ninh Provincial Police) discovered and handled a case of a young man driving a motorbike at high speed and deliberately changing the license plate to get past the automatic speed measuring device.
The violator was identified as Ha Van H (born in 1993, residing in Na Pan village, Hoa Tham commune, Lang Son province), driving a motorbike with license plate 27B1-568.33, traveling at a speed of 66 50% km/h.
Through inspection, the Working Group discovered that the driver had repainted the number "3" on the license plate to "3", causing the real license plate "27B1-568.33" to be deformed into "27B1-568.83", to avoid being detected by the system.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Province Police, the above behavior not only violates speed regulations, but also violates the legality of license plates, showing fraudulent intentionality, causing difficulties in vehicle management and ensuring traffic order and safety.
According to regulations, people who arbitrarily paint, edit, or change the number on the license plate will be fined from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000, and have 6 points deducted from the driving license. In addition, the act of driving a vehicle at a speed limit will also be subject to a fine of VND 900,000.
The Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Province Police recommends that all acts of covering, pasting, blurring, erasing, or repainting license plates are violations of the law and will be strictly handled. Traffic participants need to comply with regulations on speed, vehicles and license plates, contributing to maintaining safety for themselves and the community.
