Police noted from January 1, 2025, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulating sanctioning administrative violations on road traffic safety and order; deducting points, restoring the driving license point takes effect.
Accordingly, a number of acts of violating road traffic safety ordered by a sharp increase compared to before such as the driver of the car passing the red light was fined 18-20 million VND (the old level was 4-6 million VND).
In order to effectively implement the newly enacted law, local traffic police force is actively implementing many synchronous measures, with the motto of both focusing on propaganda and strict handling.
The main goal of increasing the penalty level under Decree 168/2024/ND-CP is to raise the awareness of law observance on traffic, thereby contributing to reducing accidents and congestion.
The police requested the violator to go to the police headquarters where the fine was detected or went to the police to reside to resolve the case of violations as prescribed.
When coming to the cold fines, the driver of the car should prepare the following documents: register the vehicle, the certificate of technical safety and environmental protection, the driving license of the violator, the citizen identification of the violator (with each type of photo papers 1 copy).
The police suggested that people continue to raise the awareness of self -consciousness to comply with the law when participating in traffic, for safety for themselves and others.
