Hanoi - AI cameras in 24 hours have detected dozens of traffic violations, notably running red lights and not wearing helmets...

According to information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security, from 12:00 on December 9 to 12:00 on December 10, 2025, the AI camera system at km20 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway recorded 17,073 vehicles in circulation, with an average speed of 78km/h.

Through image processing, the authorities discovered 6 cases of not wearing seat belts. No cases of phone use while driving were recorded.

All violations have been reported to the vehicle owner for handling according to regulations.

In the inner city of Hanoi, data extracted from the pilot AI camera installed at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection (Cau Giay Ward) shows that many violations are automatically identified.

Accordingly, the system detected 52 cases of not wearing helmets, 79 cases of running red lights. No cases of going in the wrong direction were recorded.

At the same time, the AI camera on Le Van Luong Street did not record any cases of going in the wrong lane.

According to the Traffic Police Department, the above violations have been transferred to the Hanoi City Police and functional units to continue implementing the penalty process according to the provisions of law.
