Hung Yen - Tran Lam Ward Police confirmed that the rumor about confiscating vehicles and driving licenses is untrue, calling on people to cooperate in cleaning up data.

Recently, in Tran Lam ward, there have been many inaccurate rumors, saying that when declare and clean up vehicle registration and driver's license data, people will "vehicle confiscation" or " documents will be revoked if they have not changed their ownership". This information spread quickly, causing confusion and making some people hesitant to cooperate.

Currently, the Ward Police are implementing the policy of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial People's Committee and the Hung Yen Provincial Police on general review, cleaning of vehicle registration data, driver's licenses and digitization of documents, with a completion date before December 31, 2025. Cleaning data helps remove false information, ensure the ownership of each citizen, limit disputes when buying and selling, transferring vehicle registration; reduce administrative procedures and facilitate online searching and performing public services on VNeID. Data digitalization also contributes to building an e-government, transparency and modernity.

For driving licenses, switching to PET cards has the advantages of anti-counterfeiting, durability, data integration, and use on VNeID and in some countries. These utilities are only achieved when data is cleaned and authenticated.

Tran Lam Ward Police called on people to cooperate, provide complete and accurate information, contact when the vehicle has been sold, damaged, lost or has not been transferred, and only receive information from official channels such as Hung Yen Provincial Police Information Portal, VNeID application, VNE Traffic or directly at the Ward Police.

Data cleansing is to protect people's rights, build a modern, transparent and safe management environment for society.
