This is one of the super-luxury sedan models belonging to the independent Maybach generation before the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class brand was born.
According to research, the number of Maybach 62S in Vietnam is quite limited, so this model rarely appears on the streets. Before the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class was introduced, Maybach 62S was once one of the top models in Mercedes-Benz's super-luxury product portfolio. In addition to the standard Maybach 62 version, this car line also has high-performance variants such as the 62S and the special 62 Zeppelin version.
Maybach 62S has an overall length of 6,165 mm, a width of 1,980 mm, a height of 1,575 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,827 mm. This size is about 200 mm larger than Rolls-Royce Phantom EWB, showing a clear orientation towards the rear passenger compartment space - a characteristic of super-luxury sedans serving the needs of travel with private drivers.
The interior of the Maybach 62S is completed according to high-end standards, integrating a partition between the cockpit and passenger compartment to increase the level of privacy for users. Compared to the standard Maybach 62 version, the 62S version has some changes in exterior design, notably the grille with fewer spokes, creating a sportier appearance.
In terms of performance, the Maybach 62S is equipped with a Mercedes-AMG M285 V12 engine with a capacity of 5.5 liters V12 twin-turbocharged assembled by Mercedes-AMG, producing a maximum power of 604 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm.
The car has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds, the electronically limited top speed is 250 km/h. The powertrain comes with a 5-speed automatic transmission, aiming for a balance between powerful performance and the characteristic smoothness of the super-luxury sedan line.
