According to a report from the police on May 22, at around 12:00 on the same day, Mr. Nguyen Minh Teo (born in 1991), permanent resident of Xom Lung Hamlet, Dinh Binh Commune (Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province) was driving a car with license plate 69A-094.43 (private car) on the Nam Song Hau route from Bac Lieu Province to Vinh Chau Town (Soc Trang Province). When reaching the section passing through So At B hamlet, Vinh Phuoc ward, Mr. Theo discovered smoke rising from the front of the vehicle.
Mr. Teo quickly pulled into the right margin at the bare land of the South River. As soon as he got off the car, the fire had flared up at the front of the car. People witnessed the incident immediately called to report to the police of Vinh Phuoc ward.
When Vinh Phuoc Ward Police arrived at the scene, the fire quickly spread to the rear of the vehicle and rose high, unable to be controlled by on-site fire fighting vehicles. Immediately, the ward police notified the Vinh Chau Fire Prevention and Fighting Team.

Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire, but the car was completely burned down, leaving only the iron frame.
The fire completely damaged the car, causing an estimated property damage of about 350 million VND. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
