On February 1, according to information from the Traffic Police Department - Nghe An Provincial Police, in January 2025, the whole province had 1,961 newly registered cars.
This figure increased by 36.3% compared to the same period in 2024 (1,438 vehicles).
With the number of newly registered vehicles continuously increasing, Nghe An continues to rank third in the country, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The increase in the number of newly registered cars shows that people's living standards have improved, reflecting the socio-economic development of the province. In addition, the demand for car ownership is also influenced by preferential tax and fee policies, promotional programs of car manufacturers as well as the gradual improvement of traffic infrastructure.
According to statistics, the number of newly registered cars in Nghe An in 2024 reached nearly 20,000 vehicles, helping the province enter the top 3 localities with the largest number of registered cars in the country (after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi).
Specifically, in 2024, the whole province will have 18,064 newly registered cars, an increase of nearly 3,000 cars compared to 2023. Up to now, the total number of cars with Nghe An province license plates is 202,940 cars.
On average, Nghe An has about 100 - 110 newly registered cars every day, of which Vinh city accounts for about 50 cars, the remaining 50 - 60 cars are in districts and towns. On average, the whole province has more than 1,600 newly registered cars every month.
