Honda Vietnam officially introduces a new upgraded version of the second generation HR-V SUV, equipped for the first time with a Hybrid e:HEV RS engine.
The HR-V e:HEV RS version is equipped with a hybrid engine with a combined powertrain between the 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC gasoline engine and the electric motor. The gasoline engine produces a maximum capacity of 119 horsepower at 6,600 rpm, while the electric motor reaches a capacity of 129 horsepower at a rpm range of 4,000 to 8,000 rpm.
The total combined capacity of the system is up to 167 horsepower, providing smooth acceleration and fuel economy of more than 30% compared to the traditional gasoline engine. The hybrid engine system uses an e-CVT gearbox, optimizing performance and helping to reduce fuel consumption.

In terms of handling, the HR-V e:HEV RS uses an electric motor to support battery charging and traction, with traction up to 253 Nm at 3,500 rpm. Thanks to that, the hybrid version brings a stable, smooth but still inspiring driving experience on all routes. Along with that, the L and G gasoline engine versions still maintain stable performance, with a capacity of 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque respectively.
In addition, the second generation HR-V also has a Honda Sensing safety system with features such as the collision reduction braking system (CMBS), adaptive cruise control system (ACC), and lane keeping assistance system (LKAS). These equipment ensure a high level of safety for the driver and passengers.
The Honda HR-V e:HEV RS also focuses on convenience with an 8-inch entertainment screen, Honda CONNECT telecommunications connection, an 8-speaker system, along with wireless charging features and support for smartphone connectivity. These improvements bring maximum convenience to users on long-distance travel.
This model is officially launched for sale in Vietnam from April 4, 2025.
