Vehicles are being recalled to inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump. The purpose of this campaign is to check for possible fuel leaks or gasoline odors from the fuel pump when the engine is running, thereby protecting the safety of users.
The total number of vehicles affected in this recall is 2,695, manufactured from August 24, 2023 to September 11, 2024, all imported and distributed by Honda Vietnam.
According to the announcement, all owners of the CR-V e:HEV RS vehicles subject to the recall will receive detailed information via mail, email or phone directly from Honda dealers. Owners will be asked to bring their vehicles to authorized dealers to have the high-pressure fuel pump inspected and replaced if a leak is detected.
The recall will begin on November 25, 2024, and each vehicle will take approximately 30 minutes to inspect. If a problem with the fuel pump is found, the parts will be replaced free of charge.
Honda Vietnam commits to bear all costs of inspection and replacement.
Although there have been no reported cases of unsafety due to this issue, Honda Vietnam recommends that customers quickly bring their vehicles to dealers for inspection to ensure safety during use.
