On November 14, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "A convoy of large trucks rumbles from Hung Yen to Thai Binh" reflecting the opinions and recommendations of voters and people living on both sides of National Highway 39A through Hung Ha district (Thai Binh province) regarding: Recently, a convoy of 4-legged "tiger" trucks with license plates from Hung Yen province has been moving continuously at high frequency, carrying black sand from the wharf in Tien Lu district (Hung Yen province) through Trieu Duong bridge to dump and level the ground at Hung Nhan Industrial Park Phase 2 expansion (Hung Nhan town and Tan Hoa commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province).
The sudden appearance and increase in activities of the above-mentioned "tiger" vehicles have caused many difficulties and obstacles in the lives, activities and business of people on both sides of National Highway 39A, potentially causing environmental pollution and traffic safety risks on the route.
It is known that after the above reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper, the leaders of Thai Binh Provincial Police have directed the Traffic Police Department to coordinate with inter-sectoral forces to increase patrols, control, and detect and handle violations (if any).
On November 16, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Lieutenant Colonel Mai Thanh Nam - Captain of the Propaganda, Investigation, Accident Resolution and Traffic Violation Handling Team of the Traffic Police Department - Thai Binh Provincial Police, said: "After the article reflecting the Lao Dong Newspaper, implementing the direction of the Provincial Police leaders, the Traffic Police Department leaders, we coordinated with Cau Nghin Traffic Police Station in charge of the route from Trieu Duong Bridge to National Highway 39A and the interdisciplinary forces to increase patrols and controls regardless of day or night. In particular, we focused on checking the compliance with the design load, the badges of vehicle owners and drivers. During the inspection, on the night of November 14 and early morning of November 15, the interdisciplinary forces discovered and handled 1 violation case".
Accordingly, at the above time, the 4-legged "tiger" truck with license plate 89H - 024.34 was carrying black sand for leveling from the wharf in Tien Lu district (Hung Yen province) through Trieu Duong bridge on National Highway 39A, to dump and level the ground at Hung Nhan Industrial Park, phase 2 expansion. The vehicle owner and driver were found to have committed violations such as overloading by 81% and not attaching a badge as prescribed.
For these violations, the driver with license plate 89H - 024.34 was fined 12 million VND and had his driver's license suspended for 2 months; the car owner was fined 44 million VND. The total fine for the violation was 56 million VND.
Previously, on Thai Ha road, on November 11, the Traffic Police Department's Traffic Investigation, Accident Resolution and Violation Handling Team - Thai Binh Provincial Police also discovered and issued a ticket to a driver in Phu Ly City, Ha Nam Province for driving a truck with license plate 90H-000.33 overloaded by 43% and without a badge as prescribed. For these violations, the driver was fined 10 million VND, the vehicle owner was fined 14 million VND, the total fine was 24 million VND.
"In the coming time, we will continue to maintain continuous patrol and control activities on the gateway routes into and out of the province, and at the same time, use mobile weighing stations from the inter-sectoral to measure the load of vehicles. If we detect acts of transporting goods exceeding the design weight and other violations, we will strictly handle them according to regulations," added Lieutenant Colonel Mai Thanh Nam.
