The Center for Disease Control of Hung Yen province has just held a conference to deploy a measles vaccination campaign to health centers in districts, towns, cities, and commune-level health stations.
The measles vaccination campaign aims to vaccinate 95% of children who have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated with measles-containing doses according to regulations with 1 dose of measles-containing vaccine. Depending on the actual situation in the locality, the appropriate implementation time must be ensured to complete the vaccination by March 31 at the latest.
Previously, in order to ensure measles prevention and control, the Department of Health proposed to the Ministry of Health to allocate 15,580 doses of measles vaccine to children aged 6 months to 10 years. This is the vaccine demand after reviewing subjects across the province to organize a measles vaccination campaign for this group of young people.
Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 23/CD-TTg dated March 15, 2025 on accelerating measles vaccination, on March 18, the People's Committee of Hung Yen province issued Official Dispatch No. 681/UBND-KGVX on accelerating measles vaccination.
The Provincial People's Committee requests the Department of Health to regularly assess the development of measles in the province to plan to organize a measles vaccination campaign according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, to prevent the outbreak of measles. Guiding localities to ensure enough human resources, funding, materials, equipment, and vaccines to speed up the vaccination progress, completing in March 2025.
The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities coordinate with the Department of Health and related units to propagate and mobilize people to take measures to prevent and control measles according to the recommendations of the health sector; instruct people when there are signs of disease to immediately go to medical facilities for timely examination, consultation, isolation and treatment.
