On May 23, Thien Hanh General Hospital in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Endoscopic Surgery Association (ELSA) organized a scientific seminar on Advanced herniated disc surgery and intervention endoscopy. The event is part of the 117th ELSA OP program.
The workshop is highly practical, consisting of three parts. Including: theory, practical thiology and practical technique on the model. The local medical team will approach the situation with modern, less invasive treatment methods.
Mr. Pham Phu Cuong - Deputy Director of Thien Hanh General Hospital said that the workshop helped improve the professional qualifications of local doctors. Thereby, improving treatment effectiveness, shortening recovery time for techniques such as endoscopy to treat herniation and endoscopy of the reverse pancreas.
This is an important opportunity to expand professional cooperation between countries in the region.
A representative of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital commented: "This is the second time in Vietnam that the ELSA OP program has a combination of surgery and endoscopic intervention. This is an event to promote the spread and development of endoscopic surgery in developing countries".
In 2025, the 117th ELSA OP will take place in Vietnam, hosted by Thien Hanh General Hospital. The application of new and complex surgical techniques and modern technology will open up opportunities for people to enjoy better health care in the locality. Patients do not need to spend time or money to travel to big cities.
