On March 8, the Dak Lak Department of Health coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to organize a medical workshop in the Central Highlands, to share experiences in health practice management.
The event is an opportunity for leaders of the health sector of provinces and cities to discuss and discuss outstanding issues in this field.
Here, delegates proposed models, solutions and recommended competent authorities to resolve difficulties and problems in industry management.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the Central Highlands is an area with a large area and unevenly distributed population. Many remote areas have many difficulties in accessing healthcare.
Therefore, people's health care is always of interest to all levels and sectors. The synchronous and effective implementation of management work will help build a modern and smooth management system.

According to statistics from the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health, the whole province currently has 4,823 civil servants and public employees in the health sector, of which ethnic minorities account for 19.16%.
From 2024 to February 2025, the authorities have revoked 131 licenses for medical examination and treatment in the province for many different reasons.
Regarding health practice management, Mr. Nguyen Huu Vu Quang, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Department of Health, admitted that there are still many difficulties and problems.
Currently, there are no specific regulations on granting licenses to medical examination and treatment practitioners. There are also no clear regulations for paraclinical methods for those who have completed their training certificates, such as basic and advanced rehabilitation, basic and advanced eye specialties.
According to Mr. Quang, the central government has not yet issued specific regulations on allowing trained practitioners to perform techniques, including medical examination, technical specifications and paraclinical methods.
Dak Lak currently has 5 provincial hospitals, 3 district hospitals and 7 non-public hospitals. The locality also has 1,830 pharmaceutical businesses, 1,777 drug retail establishments and 53 drug sales and trafficking establishments.
