On August 20, Meritorious Doctor, Doctor CKII Nguyen Van Doi - Deputy Director of Vinh Long Provincial Department of Health attended the launching ceremony to launch free screening for people in Nhi Long commune.
Through review, Nhi Long commune has 34,652 people. The campaign is being implemented from now until October 13 at the commune health station, headquarters of hamlets and schools, including organizing examinations for students.
Participating in the campaign are a team of doctors and nurses from Saigon - Tra Vinh Eye Hospital, Cang Long Regional General Hospital and Nhi Long Commune Health Station, performing health check-ups and screenings for people according to each target group.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Le Quang Thanh - Vice Chairman of Nhi Long Commune People's Committee said that health is a precious asset of each person, the foundation of family happiness and social development.
According to Mr. Thanh, taking care of and improving people's health requires the participation of the entire political system and people. Proactive periodic health check-ups help detect diseases early, monitor and treat them promptly, thereby reducing treatment costs.
Meritorious Doctor, Specialist Doctor II Nguyen Van Doi said that, implementing the direction of the Central Government and the province on periodic health check-ups and free screening, the examination contents are implemented according to the professional guidance of the Ministry of Health for each target group.
In addition to examination and screening, the health sector also supports people to install electronic health records, implement data interconnection to Vinh Long Provincial Health Data Warehouse, contributing to more convenient health management for people.
The Deputy Director of Vinh Long Provincial Department of Health requested agencies, units and people to coordinate in implementing the campaign well, gradually forming the habit of proactively taking care of health, contributing to improving the quality of life for people and families.
After the launching ceremony in Nhi Long commune, Meritorious Doctor, Specialist Doctor II Nguyen Van Doi inspected, supervised and exchanged with local leaders on the implementation of free health check-ups and screenings in Tan An, Song Loc and Chau Thanh communes.
