On October 17, the Ham Thuan Agricultural Technical Station under the Lam Dong Province Agricultural Extension Center said that it had proposed implementing rabies prevention work in Residential Group 37, Phan Thiet Ward. This is an area where rabid dogs bit people on October 13.
According to this unit, at noon on October 13, Tram received a report from the People's Committee of Phan Thiet Ward that a stray dog had bitten someone on Le Duan Street in Residential Group 37, Phan Thiet Ward. The dog showed signs of suspected rabies.

The station sent people down to assist in arresting and bringing the dog back to monitor. By the afternoon of the same day, the dog had died. This is a stray dog without owner. Test results of the Central Veterinary Diagnosis and Testing Center II concluded that the dog product sample tested positive for rabies virus.
The above dog bit 3 people, including 2 people in the area and 1 lottery ticket seller. In addition, this dog also comes into contact with dogs around the area to bite each other. Currently, all 3 people bitten by dogs have been vaccinated with anti-rabies vaccine and serum.

To control well, not allowing rabies to spread widely, the Station has coordinated with the People's Committee of Phan Thiet Ward to organize spraying to kill bacteria in captivity and where dogs pass. At the same time, deploy emergency rabies vaccination for dogs around the area to control rabies.
Phan Thiet Ward People's Committee informed people who have close contact or are scratched or bitten by dogs to report to the Health Station to receive instructions on rabies serum vaccination according to regulations.
