Nghe An urgently clears land for Ban Mong Reservoir Project
On July 11, the working delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep had a working session with the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the progress of the Ban Mong Reservoir Project Phase 1 - a key irrigation project in the North Central region.
The project has a total investment of more than VND 5,552 billion, of which Nghe An province is assigned the task of building a system of pumping stations and canals from the Hieu River and implementing compensation, resettlement, and site clearance in the communes of Quy Chau, Chau Binh, Tam Hop, and Nghia Mai.

Up to now, the province has completed site clearance at Co Ba lake (Chau Binh commune) below elevation +71.86m and is continuing to reclaim 390ha of land. Dien Bien will evaluate and purify cadres from key projects
According to the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, the whole province is currently implementing 10 key projects (5 budget capital projects, 5 non-budget capital projects). Although all levels and sectors have made many efforts, the progress of the projects is slower than the plan.
The biggest "bottleneck" is identified as compensation and site clearance (GPMB). In reality, the workload in these projects is very large, the process is complicated, while the local specialized staff is still lacking and weak.

The Nam Rom River Basin Multi-disaster Management Project has a total investment of more than VND 981 billion, although 7/7 packages have been implemented, the construction volume has only reached 44.55%. According to the plan, this project must be completed before December 31, 2025.
The project's site clearance work is still in disarray when only 279 out of 514 households have handed over clean land (reaching 64.52%). See more...
Opportunities for Vietnam's industrial real estate
Amid the wave of global shift, Vietnam's industrial real estate is emerging as a strategic destination.
According to Savills' Global Occupier Markets spotlight 2025 survey, more than 80% of tenants in 54 key markets said they are delaying their decision to lease industrial real estate due to concerns about political and economic risks. Enterprises signing lease contracts during this period tend to prioritize flexible options in terms of time, expansion terms and early termination rights.

This shift comes from many systematic factors, including changes in tariff policies, increased trade tensions, currency fluctuations and other risks such as cyber attacks on logistics infrastructure or extreme natural disasters that disrupt transportation. See more...
