Re-allocating public assets after arrangement
On May 3, the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that the Provincial People's Committee has issued decisions to receive and transfer many real estate facilities transferred by the Ministry of Finance to local management.
Accordingly, these assets are handed over to the People's Committees of communes for management and use according to regulations. These are mainly headquarters of agencies under the financial sector such as tax, treasury, statistics and some former public service units that no longer need to be used after organizing the apparatus.

The transfer aims to promote the efficiency of management and use of public assets, avoid loss and waste; and at the same time help grassroots authorities have more conditions for their headquarters to work and serve the people.
In fact, after the process of arranging the apparatus, many state agency headquarters are surplus. If not transferred in time, these facilities are easily left vacant, degraded, causing waste of investment resources from the budget.
Many headquarters worth tens of billions of VND are handed over
Along with facilities under the financial sector, Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee also decided to transfer many houses and land facilities of the Provincial Social Insurance to localities for management and use.
Specifically, the house and land facilities of Tran Van Thoi Grassroots Social Insurance (formerly Phu Tan District Social Insurance), in Cai Doi Vam commune, were assigned to Cai Doi Vam Commune People's Committee for management and use, with a remaining value of more than 12.3 billion VND.

The housing and land facilities of Gia Rai Social Insurance facility (formerly Dong Hai District Social Insurance) in Ganh Hao commune, are assigned to Ganh Hao Commune People's Committee for management and use, with a remaining value of more than 8.2 billion VND.
In Phuoc Long commune, the house and land facilities of Phuoc Long Base Social Insurance (formerly Phuoc Long District Social Insurance) were handed over to Phuoc Long Commune People's Committee for management and use, with a remaining value of more than 1.1 billion VND.
The housing and land facilities of the Social Insurance Agency (formerly Hong Dan District Social Insurance) in Hong Dan commune with a remaining value of more than 16.3 billion VND are assigned to the locality for management and use.
In Nguyen Phich commune, the housing and land facilities of Thoi Binh Social Insurance facility (formerly U Minh District Social Insurance) were also transferred, with a remaining value of more than 14.4 billion VND.
In addition to the above facilities, some headquarters of the finance sector such as the treasury, the one-stop-shop department, and old statistical agencies in localities have also been handed over for management and use according to regulations.
Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant agencies and units to organize the handover, receipt, and at the same time declare, manage and use assets in accordance with the law on public assets, ensuring efficiency and avoiding loss and waste.
