Can only rely on social housing
On the morning of December 5, inside the project dossier receiving point (Cultural - Sports Information Center of Thien Loc commune), people occasionally came to press the application number. The investor's file receiving department only arranged 2 people to serve.
Mr. Chu Trieu Thanh (born in 1987) said that his family is currently living with his parents and brother. "The house is about 100 square meters, but there are 3 families living together, so it is very cramped. I have 3 children, now they are young so it is not too inconvenient, but when they grow up, they will have difficulty with living space. I really hope to have my own house for my family - Mr. Thanh shared.
Mr. Thanh and his wife are both workers, with a total income of about 20 million VND/month. With this income, buying commercial housing is beyond his ability, so he can only rely on social housing, hoping for a place to buy to stabilize his life.
On November 17, Mr. Thanh had been here, but due to missing documents and being not accepted, he had to supplement and complete the documents. On December 5, his application was accepted and he received an order number, with a deadline for submitting the application. "I hope to buy a house with 2 bedrooms. I have not yet researched the price, but I must first go through the application submission stage. Therefore, I will prepare the documents carefully" - Mr. Thanh said.
Mr. Thanh hopes to buy a house with 2 bedrooms, about 65 square meters. According to calculations, he had to pay 1.4 billion VND. To have this amount of money, he plans to borrow about 40% of the value of the house (about 600 million VND).
4 times of submitting documents
Ms. Tran Thi Nhung (32 years old) also hopes to buy an apartment in the CT3 project to have a place to settle down and make a living. "If you rent a room forever, you will not be able to stabilize your life. Moreover, housing prices are getting higher and higher, so I am very worried. I hope to have a social housing unit in this project, because it is quite close to where my husband and I work, said Ms. Nhung.
Ms. Nhung was quite "afraid" in the process of buying a house. She once submitted her application to a social housing project for 1 month, but it was still late. Recently, she turned to another project and learned that it would be very difficult because that project was for resettlement.
"After submitting the application in the CT3 social housing area, I will continue to submit the application in another project. Hopefully, after submitting the application 4 times, my family will have a satisfactory house" - Ms. Nhung said.
Speaking to reporters on December 5, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Director of the Project Management Board, representative of the handico & Viglacera Investor consortium - said that the deadline for receiving project documents is January 3, 2026. According to Mr. Trung, those who paid later and those who paid before have the same opportunity to buy social housing, because there is still a draw after reviewing the application (except for priority tickets). Mr. Trung said that up to this point, there have been 6,000 appointment documents to submit documents to buy social housing in the project; the number of social housing units is more than 700.
The CT3 social housing project is invested by a joint venture of Hanoi Housing Investment and Development Corporation and Viglacera Corporation - JSC. The project started construction in March 2025. The project on the CT3 plot of land has an area of 2.4 hectares, including 3 high-rise apartment buildings with symbols CT3A, CT3B, CT3C; each building is 12 floors high and has 1 attic.
