On January 6, at the Conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026, the Da Nang City Department of Construction said that in the period from 2005 to 2024, the city completed and put into use about 18,500 apartments. In 2025 alone, Da Nang handed over an additional 2,907 apartments from 5 key projects. Thus, the total existing social housing fund of the whole city has reached more than 21,400 apartments, most of which have been allocated to low-income people and industrial park workers.
Regarding the implementation of the target assigned by the Government in the Project "Investing in building at least 1 million social housing apartments", in 2025, Da Nang put into use 2,907 units, reaching a rate of 108% compared to the plan.
To ensure continuity and avoid the situation of "breakdown" of supply, in addition to the projects that have been handed over, the city is simultaneously implementing 12 other projects with a scale of 9,195 apartments that have investors. Among them, 3 projects with more than 3,100 apartments have officially started construction right in 2025.
Functional agencies are also completing procedures to approve investment policies for 9 other projects with a scale of up to more than 10,600 units. Thus, the target of 28,955 apartments from now to 2030 is completely practically based on the 134 ha land fund that has been approved.
Mr. Nguyen Ha Nam - Director of Da Nang Department of Construction - said that the goal for 2026 is to complete 4,979 apartments. Therefore, Da Nang City has applied the "green channel" mechanism in administrative procedure reform, allowing the parallel implementation of procedures on land, planning and construction. At the same time, it is committed to minimizing the time for appraisal and licensing so that projects can be started soon, ensuring that each number in the plan must be transformed into real apartments for people in the shortest time.
