On July 28, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on a number of important contents in the operation and implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks.
At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on the progress report of a number of projects in the area; the transfer of tasks to investors of projects using district-level capital after dissolvement; resolving difficulties in receiving documents, project appraisal and performing the functions and tasks of the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the two provinces of Thai Binh and Hung Yen (old); progress of organizing the Provincial Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
In his concluding remarks, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than requested departments, branches and localities according to their assigned functions and tasks to urgently remove difficulties and obstacles to ensure the progress of project implementation.
In particular, the transfer of the task of investors of district-level projects must be completely handled in July, assigning the Department of Home Affairs to preside over advising the Provincial People's Committee on decentralization and delegation of authority to ensure compliance with principles, without interrupting investment resources.
For the operation of the Management Boards of the old Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, while waiting for the competent authority to decide to reorganize, these two units continue to perform the functions and tasks according to the decision approved by the Prime Minister, using the existing seal to ensure uninterrupted work, serving well the promotion and attraction of investment after the merger of provinces.
Regarding the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing agency of the Exhibition Steering Committee - to continue to perfect the design plan for exhibition spaces, select typical images, documents, and products to clearly depict the development journey of the province and convey the message towards a prosperous, civilized, and modern future.
The meeting also spent time listening to and giving opinions on reports on the results of resolving problems in implementing tasks under the Provincial People's Committee Office and the expected content to be submitted to the upcoming Provincial People's Council meeting.
