In May 2025, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee updated the content of voters' petitions to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council.
One of the contents mentioned by the locality is voters' concerns about the pollution situation occurring in Dac Loc Industrial Cluster.
Specifically, voters in Nha Trang have reported that in Dac Loc village, 2 people are still affected by environmental pollution.
Currently, people also have concerns about the situation of discharging waste into the environment into the dust (smooth waste of wood processing factories), the stench, and stagnant water of industrial clusters due to an increase of 3 shifts/day, 24/24 hours.
From this reality, voters recommend that the authorities have solutions to overcome pollution, or in the long term, they need to take measures to relocate industrial clusters out of residential areas.
According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, Dac Loc Industrial Cluster was invested in since 2004 with a total investment of more than 64 billion VND from the budget.
Currently, in Dac Loc Industrial Cluster, there are 18 projects licensed for investment, the occupancy rate is 100%, the budget contribution is estimated at nearly 70 billion VND and creates jobs for more than 1,000 workers.
According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, Dac Loc Industrial Cluster was invested in construction in accordance with the overall planning for industrial development in the province, with a favorable location for the implementation of investment in production projects, creating more jobs for local workers, contributing to stable and sustainable socio-economic development.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in 2023, there is still a plan for Dac Loc Industrial Cluster and no relocation plan.
In addition, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion under the Department of Industry and Trade is currently implementing environmental protection measures and works such as thoroughly collecting domestic wastewater and wastewater produced by secondary enterprises in the Industrial Cluster and treating wastewater to ensure that wastewater after treatment meets standards.
Coordinate with competent authorities to guide, supervise and inspect the activities of enterprises in implementing legal regulations, supporting the settlement of arising issues during operation.
