According to Lao Dong reporter, the Hanoi Department of Finance recently announced the results of opening registration documents to implement the Tien Duong 1 social housing project (Dong Anh district).
This housing area has an investment capital of more than VND 9,307 billion. Of which, the total preliminary cost of project implementation is more than VND 8,690 billion, the rest is compensation and site clearance costs.
The land for project research is nearly 44.6 hectares. The population is about 12,465 people. This project will provide about 3,530 apartments (including 3,103 social housing units, 427 commercial apartments) and 99 townhouses.
The Hanoi Department of Finance has also just announced the results of opening registration documents to implement the Tien Duong 2 social housing project, Dong Anh district (Hanoi).
Accordingly, the Tien Duong 2 Project has a total area of nearly 40 hectares. Of which, about 12.3 hectares are land for social housing construction, with a population of more than 10,500 people, while commercial houses occupy nearly 2.2 hectares.
After completion, the project will provide about 3,344 apartments in social housing and 114 low-rise commercial houses. The total investment capital for the project is more than 6,800 billion VND.
Also in Dong Anh, in early March 2025, the joint venture of Hanoi Housing Investment and Development Corporation (Handico) and Viglacera Corporation - JSC officially started construction of 1,104 CT3 social housing apartments - part of the Thang Long Green City social housing project at plot CT3, Kim Chung Urban Area.
The project has a total area of nearly 3.7 hectares, built 4 12-storey buildings and 1 basement, 1 attic, with a population of 5,429 people. The total construction floor area is nearly 153,779 m2 with a total of 1,588 apartments. The total investment of the project is 1,600 billion VND.
The social housing area in CT3 has 1,104 apartments, with an area of 50 - 64m2, including 2 to 3 bedrooms.
The investor consortium said the project is expected to be completed within 18 months from the start date, with an expected selling price of VND 18.4 million/m2 (including 5% VAT and 2% maintenance fee).

Or the social housing project in Uy No commune (Dong Anh district) is being implemented by Corporation 319 - Ministry of National Defense, with a total investment of more than 600 billion VND.
The project is built on a land area of 15,286 m2; the total construction area is 6,879.6 m2, with 4 blocks of 9-storey houses (the total floor area for all 4 blocks is about 61,086.2 m2, construction density is 45%); This project has 466 apartments. The project is expected to be completed on October 30, 2026.
A recent report by the Ministry of Construction informed that in 2024, the whole country will only have 108 completed social housing projects, corresponding to 47,532 apartments.
Entering 2025, it is expected that 135 projects will be implemented with nearly 101,900 social housing units (an increase of 2.1 times).
Of which, in Hanoi alone, there are about 11 social housing projects that will be completed, providing nearly 6,000 apartments, equivalent to 345,000 m2 of construction floor space.
