Social housing development accelerates strongly across the province
On November 28, according to information from the Nghe An Department of Construction, in 2025, the Prime Minister assigned the province to build 1,420 social housing units, but after just over half a year, the whole province has completed 2,381 units and it is expected that by the end of the year it will reach 2,517, exceeding the plan. This figure also far exceeds the total of 1,675 units completed by the province in the period of 2021 - 2024, showing a rare breakthrough growth.
By June 2025, Nghe An has approved the policy and approved detailed planning for 41 social housing projects with a total area of 107 hectares, expected to provide about 36,000 apartments when completed. Of these, 34 projects have investors with nearly 28,000 apartments, the remaining 7 projects are in the process of selecting implementation units.
All projects are planned synchronously with the system of kindergartens, community areas, markets and shopping centers, ensuring full amenities for residents. Many large urban areas in Vinh City have also registered to allocate 20% of land funds according to the Housing Law 2023 to build social housing, including the North Urban Area in Vinh Hung Ward with 566 apartments, the Thanh Vinh Ward New Urban Area with 1,332 apartments and the Nam Song Vinh Urban Area with 406 apartments.
Hung Hung Company's project in Vinh Loc ward also registered to build a social housing area of more than 12,700m2 on a total land fund of nearly 200,000m2.
According to the Nghe An Department of Construction, this strong change comes from the Provincial People's Committee's persistent application of the ventilation mechanism, directly removing procedures, and at the same time requiring departments and branches to coordinate in quickly handling investment documents.
Social housing for workers is developing strongly

Not only expanding social housing projects for low-income people, Nghe An has also become a bright spot nationwide in developing a system of accommodation for workers and experts in industrial parks. This is a group of projects that directly affects the ability to attract FDI and ensure the lives of workers.
Over the past three years, enterprises in the province have started construction of 5 large-scale accommodation areas, providing accommodation for tens of thousands of workers. At Luxshare ICT Nghe An Factory (VSIP Industrial Park), more than 2,000 workers have moved in out of a total of 8,220 seats. In the period of 2025 - 2026, Luxshare ICT will continue to implement two new projects in VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, including a 253-apartment housing area for 1,132 workers and a 4.43-hectare accommodation area with a floor area of 165,670m2, a scale of 3,288 apartments for more than 12,400 workers. Everwin Precision Vietnam's housing area has also provided accommodation for about 1,200 workers.
At Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park, the accommodation area for workers of JuTeng Factory is considered one of the largest projects in the Central region, with the capacity to serve about 20,000 workers. In Nam Cam Industrial Park, the 525 social housing project of Kim Thi Company has also officially opened for sale, supplementing a significant supply for the northern area of Vinh City.
With the synchronous implementation of urban social housing and workers' housing, Nghe An is creating a solid foundation to attract investment, improve the quality of life of workers and move closer to the goal of completing the social housing development program for the period 2021 - 2030 assigned by the Government.
A representative of the Department of Construction affirmed that if the projects continue to keep the schedule, Nghe An's social housing fund will continue to increase, making the province one of the leading localities in the country in developing affordable housing.
