At the end of December 2024, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee signed a document to send to the Project Management Board (PMU) of Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Works (Agricultural and Rural Development) of Khanh Hoa province regarding the construction of the road named D30, 778.5m long in Nha Trang.
The delay in the construction of the D30 route was reported by Lao Dong Newspaper in a previous article: "3 years have not completed a 778m long road with a capital of 130 billion VND in Nha Trang"
This route connects two major roads in the city, October 23 and Vo Nguyen Giap. The project has a total estimated investment of nearly 130 billion VND from the provincial budget. Of which, the construction cost is nearly 80.7 billion VND, the rest is for compensation, resettlement, project management, etc.
The project started at the end of 2020 and is expected to be completed in 360 days. Due to the site clearance issue, the investor and contractor have repeatedly signed an extension of the completion time.
Up to now, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has assessed that the delay in completing, putting into operation and exploiting the road (despite having resolved land clearance issues) is the responsibility of the Provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Works.
Up to now, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has decided to criticize and request the Director of this department to urgently review the collective and individual responsibilities related to the above delay.
In addition, the investor needs to direct and urge the contractor to mobilize human and material resources to complete the construction and put it into operation and use before January 10, 2025 (no extension is allowed); be responsible to the Provincial Chairman if there are further delays in construction and completion of the project.
Before the above criticism decision, in September 2024, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan inspected the D30 Road project and requested the investor to ensure the completion of the project before October 23, 2024.
However, up to now, route D30 has not been able to come into operation.
