On April 3, the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center reported on the progress of the Project on compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance for upgrading and expanding DT. 769 road, former Thong Nhat and Long Thanh districts (now belonging to Dau Giay, Binh An, Long Thanh communes).
The project has a total investment of about 3,906 billion VND from the provincial budget (land use right auction source) implemented from 2024 - 2026.
The total land recovery area is about 135.5 hectares in 3 communes: Dau Giay, Binh An and Long Thanh.
The number of households expected to be resettled is about 996 households. Of which, Dau Giay commune is about 517 households expected to be resettled in the 15ha resettlement residential area in Hung Loc commune (now belonging to Dau Giay commune); Binh An and Long Thanh communes are about 479 households expected to be resettled in Long Phuoc resettlement area (now belonging to Long Phuoc commune), Long Duc, Long Duc expanded (now belonging to Binh An commune), Tan Hiep expanded (now belonging to Phuoc Thai commune).
It is expected to complete compensation and hand over the site to the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board from June 2026 - December 2026.
The project to upgrade and expand DT. 769 road is nearly 30 km long, starting point intersecting with National Highway 1 at Dau Giay intersection, Dau Giay commune, Dong Nai province; ending point intersecting with National Highway 51 at Loc An intersection, Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province.
The project is divided into 4 implemented sections with a scale of 6 motorized lanes, 2 mixed lanes (sections 1, 3, 4) and 6 motorized lanes (section 2). The project has a total investment of nearly 5,900 billion VND. Of which, compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance costs are more than 3,000 billion VND.
The project to upgrade and expand DT. 769 road is implemented to increase connectivity, shorten travel time from localities in the province and provinces in the Central Highlands and South Central Coast in general to Long Thanh airport. From there, meeting transportation needs, reducing traffic volume for National Highway 1, contributing to socio-economic development of localities with roads passing through in particular, Dong Nai province and the Southern Key Economic Region in general.
To connect localities in the province with Long Thanh airport, according to the plan, Dong Nai province will implement projects to upgrade, expand, and build 5 provincial roads including: 769, 769E, 773, 770B and the connecting road from Ma Da bridge to Ring Road 4 HCMC.
