Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that the province currently has 28 industrial parks in operation with a total area of 12,045 hectares.
Recently, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province has approved the planning of the districts in the north of the province including: Bac Tan Uyen, Phu Giao, Bau Bang and Dau Tieng. Notably, according to the planning, these localities will focus on industrial development and building industrial parks in the coming time. The planning of industrial parks is to prepare infrastructure to welcome domestic and foreign investors.
Currently, the Binh Duong Industrial Parks Management Board is organizing the task and general construction planning project (scale 1/5000) of Dat Quoc Industrial Park (523 hectares, Bac Tan Uyen district), specialized mechanical industrial park - also known as Bac Tan Uyen 1 Industrial Park (591 hectares in Bac Tan Uyen district), Vinh Lap Industrial Park (750 hectares in Phu Giao district).
According to the report of Binh Duong Industrial Parks Management Board, the planning task for Dat Cuoc Industrial Park has been completed and approved by Binh Duong Provincial People's Council in Resolution No. 27/NQ-HDND dated August 23, 2024 and approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 2600/QD-UBND dated September 10, 2024.
For the mechanical industrial park, the bidding procedures for contractor selection are currently being carried out.
For Vinh Lap Industrial Park, procedures for approving estimates and planning to select contractors to develop a master plan for the industrial park are currently being carried out.
In addition, VSIP III Industrial Park (1,000 hectares in Tan Uyen City and Bac Tan Uyen District) is currently implementing the Detailed Construction Planning Project (scale 1/500) phase 2 with an area of 803.55 hectares. According to records, phase 1 of VSIP III Industrial Park is under construction, in which the LEGO Binh Duong factory started construction in November 2022 with a total investment of 1.3 billion USD using an area of 44 hectares of land. The factory has now been completed and put into operation.
Implementing the detailed construction planning project (scale 1/500) of Cay Truong Industrial Park (Bau Bang District) with an area of 700 hectares. Currently, related units are conducting compensation and site clearance to prepare clean land for Cay Truong Industrial Park. A 10-lane road has also been built through this industrial park.
Attracting 1.68 billion USD of FDI capital
According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, from the beginning of 2024 to now, the province has attracted foreign investment capital of 1.68 billion USD (reaching 88% of the plan, up 18% over the same period). Up to now, the whole province has 4,370 foreign investment projects with a total registered capital of 42.1 billion USD.
