In a match that evoked Manchester's weather rather than Chicago's in the summer, Manchester United weathered the wind to beat Bournemouth 4-1.
This was a pre-season friendly match in the US for Man United. And Patrick Dorgu was the most prominent name in the "Red Devils" victory.
From the first minutes, Dorgu - who started at left-back in the 3-4-2-1 formation - made a strong impression with his ability to push up and put endless pressure.
The 20-year-old's efforts were quickly rewarded. He made an accurate cross, allowing Rasmus Hojlund to easily open the scoring for Man United in the 8th minute.
In the 25th minute, Dorgu continued to shine when he doubled the gap for the "Red Devils". In a quick counter-attack, he coordinated well with Julian Araujo, escaped to face Djordje Petrovic before coolly finishing to increase the score to 2-0.

Bournemouth seemed to have shortened the score at the end of the first half, when Antoine Semenyo overcame Man United's defense to put the ball into 39-year-old goalkeeper Tom Heaton's net. However, the goal was disallowed for offside.
The second half began in worse weather conditions, with increasingly heavy rain. That is what makes the match more open. Amad Diallo took advantage of Bournemouth's carelessness in defence, firing a cross-angle shot to increase the score to 3-0.
In the 72nd minute, Manchester-born youngster Ethan Williams sealed the victory for Man United with a beautiful goal, demonstrating his outstanding potential. Matthijs de Ligt also contributed an additional goal... but for the opponent, when he accidentally came into the net in extra time.
Overall, Man United completely dominated the game. Coach Ruben Amorim, who is starting his first full season with the team after taking over in the middle of last season, must be very satisfied with his players' performance.
The Dutch captain has played most of the main squad for about 70 minutes. And they responded with outstanding performances: effective pressing, good ball control and making the most of set pieces.
Dorgu was perhaps United's Man of the match. The Danish international has proven that he has the potential to be a perfect piece under Amorim. The 20-year-old, who has only provided one assist in 12 Premier League appearances, has shown confidence throughout the game.

If there is anything to be criticized for, it is that no new Man United player is present. Bryan Mbeumo is not expected to play. Amorim hopes to give the former Brentford star a chance in the club's final match of the Summer Series.
Meanwhile, Matheus Cunha was given a break after showing positive signs in the previous friendly match against West Ham.
