During Al Nassr's training trip in Saalfelden ( Austria), Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates stayed at gut Brandlhof Hotel. This location quickly became the center of attention of hundreds of fans. They gathered outside the hotel all day and night, creating a chaotic scene.
According to local press, the peak was when some young fans tried to approach Ronaldo by knocking on his private room door. The above action angered the Portuguese superstar, even giving a warning: "I will call the police".
However, on July 27, Ronaldo suddenly appeared to sign autographs for many fans present at the hotel area. Although his face could not hide his fatigue, this action still made many people excited.
Despite Al Nassr deploying up to 16 bodyguards to protect Ronaldo, combined with the hotel's security forces, the crowd continuously overtook the fence and flooded into the common space. An employee admitted that they did not promptly stop those who intentionally approached the 40-year-old star.
The hotel owner - Mr. Alexander Strobl has never seen such a chaotic scene in more than three decades of hosting big teams. "We have hosted Liverpool, but never before have a hotel been as crowded and chaotic as this time," he said.
Since Al Nassr only rents about a third of the total number of rooms, many public spaces are still open to outsiders. Many people even book rooms with the sole purpose of meeting Ronaldo.
This incident forced the hotel management board to consider a new control plan if Al Nassr returned in the coming years.
According to the plan, Ronaldo will join Al Nassr in the opening match of the new season against Al Ittihad in the Super Cup semi-finals on August 19.
