On February 26, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the Vietnam Football Federation and the Bundesliga took place in Hanoi.

Speaking at the ceremony, VFF President - Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized: "This is an important event, continuing to increase development opportunities for Vietnamese football as well as marking an important step forward in the cooperative relationship between Vietnamese football and football of the Federal Republic of Germany - one of the world's leading football regions.
With a sustainable development strategy, VFF always focuses on expanding international cooperation, seeking opportunities to learn and absorb the quintessence of developed football regions.
Bundesliga with a long history, top professional quality and a systematic youth player training system is an ideal partner for Vietnamese football to learn and develop".

Previously, since March 2022, VFF and Bundesliga have had a comprehensive development cooperation to further promote the development of Vietnamese football, including the search and training of young talents in a systematic and in-depth manner.
With the aim of continuing to enhance the effectiveness of the project, ensuring the sustainable development of football in Vietnam with a wider scope of activities and many new initiatives applied, VFF and Bundesliga decided to sign a new memorandum of understanding on cooperation until 2028.

Mr. Peer Naubert - CEO of Bundesliga International and Marketing Director of DFL said: "The expansion of the Bundesliga and VFF cooperation is based on the excellent activities that the two organizations have carried out in recent years. The most important goal for us is to strengthen the position of football in Vietnam.
We want to continue to develop football at all levels. More importantly, the cooperation between the Bundesliga and VFF is not only for men's football, but also for women's football. In the past 2 years, two Bundesliga clubs, Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, have hosted the Vietnam women's team. We want to continue to promote this cooperation".
At the ceremony, VFF General Secretary - Nguyen Van Phu affirmed: "From 2025 to 2028, and further in 2030, Vietnamese football is aiming for important goals. Focusing on training young players is a top priority for Vietnamese football. Specific tasks are also clearly stated in the memorandum of understanding between VFF and Bundesliga.
We expect the Vietnamese youth teams to have effective training trips, accumulate experience, and improve their qualifications before joining the national team to participate in major tournaments".
