On the evening of March 26, Quang Ninh football club held a ceremony to honor the achievement of winning the National Second Division Championship 2025, winning the right to be promoted to the National First Division next season.
At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province congratulated the success of the team, and highly appreciated the efforts of the leaders, coaching staff and football players of Quang Ninh.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh said: To be able to operate the team, in addition to the efforts of the coach and players, many other conditions are needed. What are those conditions? In the future, I suggest that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism soon complete the project to develop a professional football team and the youth football project.
The youth team will be managed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the big teams will be the source of support for the youth team. The Department is requested to soon complete 2 projects, in which it will develop a plan, what are the conditions to ensure, and resources to mobilize for the team.
I will arrange a working session with the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to preside over and work with the club and related departments, including inviting the provincial business association to contribute efforts to the team, having a long-term strategy so that we can have a celebration like this every year".
In addition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh requested the leaders of Cam Pha city and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to advise and promptly hand over the facilities of the old team and Cam Pha Stadium to Quang Ninh club.
At the ceremony, the club's leadership awarded 1 billion VND to the coaching staff, players and team members. Previously, with the championship, Quang Ninh received a bonus of 250 million VND from the Vietnam Football Federation.
In addition, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province awarded a certificate of merit to the team's achievements. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province also awarded certificates of merit to outstanding individuals.
On the club's side, President Ha Tuan Dung expressed his emotion at the efforts of the whole team, especially the comeback in the final match against PVF to win the top spot in Group A.
Mr. Dung expressed his gratitude to the provincial leaders, fans, and media agencies that have accompanied the team in the past time.
At the 2025 National Second Division, Quang Ninh club excellently topped Group A with an unbeaten record. The team won 8 matches and drew 2 matches.
This unbeaten record extends from the 2024 National Third Division season. In less than a year, Quang Ninh has been promoted to 2 consecutive levels to return to the Vietnamese professional football system.
