The leaders of the Department of Health have just reported on the implementation of handling the incident with signs of food poisoning after hundreds of people ate Hong Van bread in Cam Thanh ward, Nghia Lo, Quang Ngai province.
According to the report, on December 13, many people in Cam Thanh and Nghia Lo wards were hospitalized with symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, suspected of eating bread at establishments in the Hong Van bread chain.

To date, the total number of patients coming for examination and hospitalization is 146 cases. Of which, 46 patients were examined, prescribed and sent home for treatment; 100 patients are currently in the hospital for treatment.
At Quang Ngai General Hospital, Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and Phuc Hung Private General Hospital, patients were tested and actively treated by a team of doctors. Up to now, the patients' health condition is stable.
Up to now, the Center for Disease Control of Quang Ngai province has collected 17 food samples at business counters and at 280 Nguyen Nghiem; at the same time, collected 6 samples of food for testing to find the cause of food poisoning. All food and disease samples collected on the afternoon of December 13 were sent to the Pasteur Institute of Nha Trang for analysis.
Currently, the submitted samples do not have response results from the Pasteur Nha Trang Institute. The Center for Disease Control of Quang Ngai province is continuing to collect samples from newly admitted patients with symptoms of suspected food poisoning to send to the Pasteur Institute of Nha Trang for analysis and determination of the cause.
