Initiatives from the machine-standing craftsman
At the factory of Nissei Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd., the process of arranging metal components into the mold is a job that requires precision and continuity. Previously, workers had to stand and operate by hand throughout the shift to install each component into the casting machine. Repeating work requires high concentration, easily leading to fatigue, errors, and even the risk of work accidents if negligent.
Realizing the shortcomings in the old method, a group of technical workers at the workshop started improving the equipment. After a period of research and testing, they successfully manufactured an automatic metal component supply machine, helping the entire process to be closed and completely automated.
Mr. Dao Tien Son - Deputy Production Department of the company - said: "The new machine will automatically arrange components in fixed locations and put them into the mold without the need for workers to operate. Not only reducing labor but also ensuring accuracy and uniformity for the product, limiting errors".
Since the initiative was put into application, the effectiveness has been clear, productivity has increased, casting time has decreased, and quality has been stable. In particular, labor costs and material depletion have been significantly reduced. According to estimates, the initiative has helped the company earn more than 300 million VND per year, a very significant figure for industrial component manufacturing activities.
It is worth mentioning that this product is not implemented by the research and development department but by the people directly in charge of the project. They are the ones who understand the operating process, technical bottlenecks and the most practical needs of the production line.
"We strongly encourage our workers to contribute to the initiative. When workers are trusted and empowered, they will be much more proactive and creative" - Mr. Son shared more.
Working directly with the new equipment, Ms. Dang Thi Thanh, a foundry worker, informed: "Since this initiative was launched, we have had much less hardship. No need to operate continuously but the machine still works evenly, the product is beautiful, and the performance has increased significantly. The machine seems to give the workers more motivation to continue thinking and improving".
From a small initiative in the factory, the success of a group of technical workers not only helps businesses save hundreds of millions of VND each year but also spreads the spirit of innovation throughout the entire production line.
Connecting training - production
Not stopping at a specific initiative, the company also has a long-term vision for human development. Since 2024, Nissei Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. has officially cooperated with Hanoi University of Science and Technology to systematically train the team of technicians.
A training room for mold design - manufacturing and casting machine operation was established at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, jointly organized by both sides. Here, young engineers, skilled workers and trainees have access to modern machinery lines and practice close to production reality.
The entire training machinery system is 100% invested by the company. At the same time, the company also regularly sends technicians to Hanoi University of Science and Technology to study further and update new technology.
In the context of strong digital transformation and automation, such practical initiatives are important for manufacturing enterprises. It is not only a technical improvement, but also a strategic step towards modern industry.
Connecting businesses with training institutions such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology contributes to building high-quality human resources - a key factor for any smart production model in the future.
