Lesson norms for principals returning to teacher positions after merger
According to estimates by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), after arranging the network of educational institutions, about 32,652 management officials may be assigned to work as teachers, contributing to solving the teacher shortage situation.
When principals and vice principals are redundant after school merger and transferred to become teachers, teachers are entitled to working regimes, teaching hours and enjoy benefits according to current regulations for teachers.
Currently, the working regime and teaching norms of teachers are being implemented according to Circular No. 05/2025/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training stipulating the working regime for general education and university preparatory teachers.
Article 5 of the circular stipulates that the working time in the school year of principals, vice principals, and teachers of general education schools is 42 weeks. On September 5, in Minh Chau island commune, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Minh Chau commune to organize the Inauguration Ceremony of Minh Chau Primary, Secondary and High School and the opening ceremony of the new school year 2026 - 2027.
Minh Chau Primary, Secondary and High School was established under Decision No. 2878/QD-SGD&DT dated July 30, 2026 of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on the basis of merging Minh Chau Primary and Secondary School, and at the same time supplementing the high school level.
This is the first time Minh Chau commune has an inter-level school that completes all 3 levels of education under the management of the Department of Education and Training. See more...
Merging 2 medical colleges in Dong Thap
On September 5, Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee held a Conference to announce decisions on the organizational structure and personnel work for Tien Giang Medical College and Dong Thap Medical College. At the conference, the Provincial People's Committee announced the Decision of the Ministry of Education and Training on merging Tien Giang Medical College into Dong Thap Medical College directly under the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.
Along with the merger decision, the conference announced the decisions of the Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee on personnel work at Dong Thap Medical College. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung was appointed as Principal of Dong Thap Medical College. The Vice Principals include Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Ms. Chau Thi Thuy Hang and Ms. Truong Thi Thu Trang.
