With more than 130,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers in Binh Thuan province, of which the non-state sector has more than 90,000 people, Binh Thuan provincial trade union has promoted activities to care for union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers at non-state enterprises.
Mr. Ho Cong Duong - Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation said that in the past 2 years, the trade union has coordinated to conduct over 200 inspections, checks and supervisions on the implementation of labor law regulations, labor safety and hygiene, grassroots democracy regulations; salary and bonus policies; life and employment for workers in units and enterprises.
At the same time, direct, guide, inspect and urge the construction and implementation of grassroots democracy regulations. On average, over 75% of enterprises organize labor conferences every year with gradually improving quality.
Thereby, salary and bonus policies are taken care of and no incidents causing disorder and insecurity arise. Work to ensure occupational safety and hygiene, prevent fire and explosion, and improve working conditions and environment for workers and laborers is performed better.
Along with that, trade unions at all levels have promoted their role as a bridge to organize forums and dialogues between business leaders, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and relevant departments and branches with union members and workers.
Trade unions at all levels in the province continue to encourage business owners to pay attention to improving the quality of shift meals. Currently, Binh Thuan province has 192 units organizing shift meals, of which 181 units ensure the level proposed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

In the coming time, Binh Thuan Trade Union will focus on firmly grasping the situation of labor relations, especially the situation of unpaid wages, social insurance, health insurance in non-state enterprises and other arising issues. Coordinate with enterprises to review collective labor agreements, salary and bonus regulations for employees according to the agreed content.
At the same time, Binh Thuan Trade Union effectively participates in implementing democracy at the grassroots level, organizing dialogues, and supporting the resolution of issues related to the rights of union members and workers to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
