Efforts to bring a full and happy Tet to workers
To prepare for the Tet Sum vay program for more than 5,000 union members and employees of Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Japan Industrial Park - Hai Phong) taking place on January 14, more than a month ago, the Executive Committee of the grassroots union reviewed and made a list of employees in difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, and workers from far away provinces who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years...
“Although the program is still a few days away, workers and employees are eagerly looking forward to it, practicing together the “homegrown” art performance to perform during Tet Sum Vay. In addition to the gifts given by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation and the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union to union members and employees, the Company and the Trade Union also have 20 gifts for workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 1 million VND, along with a Tet gift bag,” said Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Chairman of the Company’s Trade Union.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, along with the Tet Sum vay program with many attractive activities, this year, the company announced the Lunar New Year bonus for employees of 1.8 months' salary to make employees excited and feel secure in working and producing.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, the Union of Aurora Vietnam Shoe Industry Co., Ltd.(under the Hai Phong Industry and Trade Union) completed the plan to take care of employees during Tet.In particular, on January 15, the company organized Tet gifts for more than 5,500 union members and employees and organized the Tet Sum vay program on January 18.
Ms. Dong Thi Phuong - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union - shared: "The Tet Sum Vay program is expected to be a warm spiritual "party" for union members and employees with artistic performances bringing the atmosphere and breath of spring, lucky draw activities with many practical and meaningful gifts. At the program, the company and the trade union will organize awards for exemplary union members, employees, and union officials who have made positive contributions to the development of the enterprise".
Concentrate on "every member has Tet"
Along with the careful preparation of grassroots unions, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation also directed the grassroots union to directly take care of workers with difficulties and low incomes, not exceeding 10% of the total number of union members of the unit directly managing them; the support level is 500,000 VND/person, paid in cash; the funding source is from the reserve fund and using the existing regular operation fund.
According to Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Ha - Chairwoman of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union, this year, many enterprises in the Industrial Park were severely affected by storm No. 3 Yagi (estimated damage of more than 2,600 billion VND). Therefore, the Standing Committee of the Economic Zone Trade Union decided not to organize the Tet Sum Vay program outdoors like every year, but to organize it in the hall to save money to take care of the workers.
The total number of workers in difficult circumstances and with serious illnesses receiving subsidies and Tet gifts is 8,296 workers with a total amount of more than 5 billion VND, and 5,000 bus tickets for workers from other provinces with a total amount of more than 1.5 billion VND (from the budget of the City People's Committee, the City Labor Federation and the budget of the Economic Zone Trade Union). At the Tet Sum vay program, the Economic Zone Trade Union will award many 0 VND gifts and many lucky draw prizes to workers from the support of sponsors and businesses.
At the city level, the City Labor Federation is focusing on taking care of Tet for union members and workers, in which the most prominent activity is the largest-ever Trade Union Tet Market, attracting more than 300 booths, selling Tet products at preferential prices for union members and workers from January 11 to January 17. The City Labor Federation also provides 35,000 subsidies, gifts, and Tet bus tickets for union members and workers.
