The program of meeting and giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on the evening of January 27.
Attending the program was Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang.
At the program, 200 union members and workers in difficult circumstances were given gifts by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, including 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 300,000 VND.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - emphasized that the meeting and gift-giving program for union members and workers is the starting activity of a series of activities to care for union members and workers during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan also thanked union members and workers for their efforts in labor and production in the past time and wished union members and workers to continue to promote the spirit of hard work to contribute to the development of businesses, the socio-economy of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.
On behalf of union members and workers who were given gifts, Ms. Duong Thi Tinh - union member of Lac Ty Co., Ltd. - emotionally said: "Although the lives of most of us workers are still hard and have to worry about making a living, but with the care, sharing and practical and thoughtful care for union members and workers of all levels and sectors, especially of the trade union organization every Tet every year, it has partly helped us have more willpower to rise up in life.
Tet gifts are not only of material value but also deeply humane of the trade union organization, helping workers reduce difficulties and welcome a warm and fulfilling Tet.
This is a great source of encouragement and motivation for each union member and worker of ours to strive and constantly strive more in production labor, as well as in life to join hands to build Ho Chi Minh City into a civilized and modern city; a center of innovation, dynamism, integration leading the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country; making positive contributions to the increasingly rich and strong development of the country in the new era".
It is known that during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will give gifts to 350,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 350 billion VND (1 million VND per person) through bank transfer.
