4 businesses in Dong Nai mobilize workers to work overtime exceeding regulations

Dong Nai - Dong Nai Provincial Inspectorate discovered 4 businesses mobilizing workers to work overtime beyond the prescribed time.

On February 7, the Provincial People's Committee just issued a document on the implementation of the inspection conclusion on the compliance with the provisions of the Labor Law, the Law on Occupational Safety and Health and the Law on Social Insurance at a number of enterprises in Dong Nai province.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee conveyed the opinion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requesting the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial Labor Federation, and the Provincial Social Insurance to strengthen specialized inspection in the field of labor and strictly handle violating enterprises, propagate and widely disseminate legal regulations so that employees at enterprises understand the regulations, contributing to protecting the rights of employees...

Previously, on January 21, the Provincial Inspectorate announced the inspection conclusion on the compliance with labor laws, labor safety and hygiene laws and social insurance laws at a number of enterprises in Dong Nai province.

Through inspection and verification, the inspection team discovered that 9/25 businesses had violations.

Among them, 4 businesses organized for employees to work overtime exceeding the prescribed time. Specifically, in 2024, Marco Technology Co., Ltd. mobilized 39 employees to work overtime exceeding the prescribed hours; Hong Sheng Industry Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) mobilized 95 employees to work overtime exceeding the prescribed hours; Evertie Lighting Vietnam Co., Ltd. mobilized 249 employees to work overtime exceeding the prescribed time; Quang Hung Co., Ltd. mobilized 96 employees to work overtime exceeding the prescribed time.

In addition, the Provincial Inspectorate also discovered 1 enterprise that has not amended or supplemented the grassroots democracy regulations at the workplace to serve as a basis for organizing dialogues at the workplace and organizing employee conferences according to regulations; 2 enterprises handled labor discipline in the wrong order and procedures...

The inspection team made a record of work and transferred the proposal to handle administrative violations to the Department of Home Affairs for 9 enterprises. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued 4 decisions to sanction 4 enterprises and the Director of the Department of Home Affairs issued 5 decisions to sanction administrative violations for 5 enterprises.
