The policy to support teachers from January 1, 2026 is stated in Clause 1, Article 24 of the 2025 Law on Teachers, stipulating as follows:
Teacher support policy
1. Teacher support policies include:
a) Subsidy regime according to the nature of work, by region;
b) Support for training and fostering;
c) Support for periodic health care and occupational health care;
d) Mobile allowances for teachers working in illiteracy eradication, universal education, secondment, enhancement teaching, inter-school teaching, teaching at schools;
d) Other support policies for teachers according to the provisions of the law on civil servants, the law on labor and other relevant legal provisions.

Thus, teachers are entitled to the above 5 support policies from January 1, 2026. In addition to the above policy, teachers working in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, border areas, islands and areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions; teachers teaching specialized schools; teachers implementing integration education; teachers teaching ethnic minority languages; teachers teaching to enhance Vietnamese for ethnic minority students; teachers teaching gifted subjects and arts are entitled to a number of support policies in other policies according to the provisions of the 2025 Law on Teachers.
