5,000 workers contribute to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3

Supporting provinces damaged by storm No. 3, simultaneously in Khanh Hoa and at other locations, more than 5,000 employees of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company donated.

On the afternoon of September 16, in Nha Trang City, the leadership coordinated with the Grassroots Trade Union of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest State-owned Company Limited (Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company) to launch a campaign to support people in provinces that suffered heavy losses in storm No. 3 Yagi.

Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Van - Chairwoman of the Board of Members of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company called on all employees present and watching online at all affiliated units across the country to join hands to support people in flood-hit areas to overcome the current difficult period.

Sharing with workers, Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Van emphasized: Storm No. 3 Yagi has caused heavy damage to people and property in many provinces and cities in the Northern region with 350 people dead and missing, 752 people injured, more than 10,000 houses collapsed, collapsed, roofs blown off, and severely damaged. The total initial economic damage is estimated at over 31,000 billion VND.

In particular, the horrific landslide in Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province left 52 people dead and 14 missing. More than ever, people in the affected provinces need help at this time.

With the tradition of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest industry over the years, Ms. Van believes that the spirit of mutual love of workers as well as business leaders will be ready to join hands with the community to rebuild the severe consequences left by storm No. 3.

At the launching ceremony, with their practical actions, all officers, employees and workers of the company responded by contributing at least 1 day's salary.

The organizing committee received nearly 2 billion VND from contributions from more than 5,000 employees of the company nationwide. This amount will be transferred to localities severely damaged by storm No. 3 to help people quickly stabilize their lives and restore production.

In addition to the donated money, the Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company's Trade Union will directly support the Company's employees who suffered losses in storm No. 3; support the system of stores, distributors, agents, and points of sale in the Northern provinces that suffered heavy losses due to storm No. 3.

Previously, the Company donated VND200 million to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province to support people in the northern provinces to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 Yagi. The Hanoi and Hai Phong branches donated thousands of moon cakes to disadvantaged children in 6 provinces and cities affected by the storm with a total value of VND200 million.

Millions of arms turn to compatriots affected by storms and floods

Storms and floods have caused severe damage in many provinces in the northern region.
