In 2024, despite many difficulties and challenges, under the leadership of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, trade unions at all levels in the province have made efforts to overcome difficulties, focused on studying, thoroughly grasping and implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and resolutions of trade union congresses at all levels, achieving many positive and comprehensive results in all aspects of trade union work.
The work of caring for and protecting the rights and interests of union members at all levels in the province is increasingly moving towards substance, gradually improving the lives of workers. Up to now, 616/717 (85.9%) enterprises with union organizations have signed, supplemented, and amended collective labor agreements with more beneficial contents for workers. Unions at all levels have launched many creative emulation movements; promoted monitoring, propaganda, and dissemination of laws. The union organization is increasingly strong with the results of establishing grassroots unions and recruiting union members exceeding the plan.
The conference agreed to set out 8 key tasks for 2025, focusing on organizing the dissemination and effective implementation of the Trade Union Law (amended) recently passed by the National Assembly; continuing to improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining; strengthening the review and supervision of the implementation of labor laws; further promoting propaganda activities, raising legal awareness for workers; paying attention to women's work and trade union finance. In particular, proactively forecasting the situation to propose appropriate solutions to innovate trade union activities, on the basis of ensuring sustainable employment and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
Also at the conference, over 650 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for excellent workers and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024 were commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Federation of Labor.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor launched the Bac Giang Trade Union application platform (App). This is a bridge connecting the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor with union members and workers. All information on policies, labor laws, entertainment and welfare regimes... are easily transmitted via the App, helping union members and workers to access quickly and promptly without being limited by space and time.
At the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor handed over decisions on personnel work to individuals assigned new tasks after merging the Yen Dung District Federation of Labor into the Bac Giang City Federation of Labor; establishing the Chu Town Federation of Labor.
