Recording at key projects
The Golden Canal Bridge project - an important traffic project across the Thai Binh River, connecting Bac Ninh and Hai Phong, is currently under construction with 5 points, mobilizing hundreds of workers and many modern equipment. The bridge project has a total length of more than 13km, of which the bridge section is 740m long and the approach road is more than 12km long, with a total investment of VND 2,200 billion.
Mr. Pham Van Hien - representative of the construction unit - said that the enterprise has established a separate labor safety department, organizing weekly dissemination of safety procedures. Labor protection equipment is always fully provided, and plans for anchoring the barley and floating equipment on the river have been planned in detail to promptly respond when floods come.
Similarly, in the project to build a 4.2km long road connecting Provincial Road 277 to the memorial site of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu, preparations to deal with unusual weather have also been seriously implemented.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Cuong - contractor representative shared: "We have organized training and developed flexible construction plans. When the weather is unfavorable, workers only construct the upper part or items that are not affected, and are always ready to respond to emergency situations".
Close monitoring
Currently, in Bac Ninh province, there are a series of large projects being implemented such as the Golden Canal Bridge, Ring Road 4, Hoang Quoc Viet Road... with the participation of thousands of workers and a huge amount of machinery and equipment. The Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic and Agricultural Project Management Board is supervising 12 projects with a total construction value of up to thousands of billions of VND.
In response to urgent safety requirements, in May 2025, the Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic and Agricultural Project Management Board issued a document requesting construction units to strictly fulfill their responsibilities in labor management, organize propaganda, and conduct periodic inspections, and strictly handle entities that violate safety regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Director of the Traffic and Agricultural Project Management Board of Bac Ninh province - affirmed: "We regularly urge and remind supervision consultants and contractors to comply with correct techniques, especially in projects with temporary bridges and temporary roads. If signs of unsafety are detected, immediately request reinforcement, add warning signs, ensure traffic safety and construction".
The proactive implementation of measures to respond to storms and floods, closely combining management agencies and construction contractors, is a key factor to ensure progress, quality and safety at key projects in Bac Ninh.
