Exceeding to the safe zone
After nearly a decade of being attached to Hanoi, Ms. Lo Thi Mai (29 years old, Chieng Dong commune, Tuan Giao district, Dien Bien province) has become accustomed to the vibrant life of the capital. Office work at a fashion company kept her busy.
However, the idea of returning to her hometown to start a business was cherished by her a few years ago when Ms. Mai felt more clearly the pressure, difficulties along with the expensive life and polluted air of the big city.
"The decision to leave Hanoi was really difficult because it was too familiar. But I think it is time, the right time to get out of the comfort zone" - Ms. Mai said.

Returning to her hometown, Mai started building a small, pretty gift and accessory store in the center of the district. The journey to start a business has never been easy, she admits there are countless difficulties, especially when working alone, everything must be even more careful and meticulous. Luckily, family and friends all supported.
Although she has only returned to her hometown for nearly a month, Ms. Mai feels that her decision is the right one. Lets just do what we like so that we wont regret it in the future. If I don't work, the success rate is 0%, but when I start working, the opportunity will definitely be greater" - Ms. Mai emphasized.
There are many opportunities in the homeland
Returning from Hanoi to her hometown at the end of December 2024, Ms. Lo Thi Hoang Yen (23 years old, Thanh Xuong commune, Dien Bien district) is also gradually asserting herself in her hometown as an MC.
At first, when her job was not yet stable, she focused on building her personal TikTok channel. "By January 2025, I had the opportunity to host my first program, luckily my efforts were recognized, and I gradually became more famous" - Yen said
Hoang Yen admitted that the environment and working style in her hometown are different from big cities. However, she found special joy and meaning when working and contributing to the development of her hometown.

"I see that there are still many opportunities for young people when choosing to return to their hometown. In addition to work, it is possible to integrate cultural promotion, people, and tourism of Dien Bien. The biggest advantage is being close to family" - Yen optimistically said.
Hoang Yen admits that if she does not create her own inspiration and motivation, she will easily get bored. When there is truly capacity and dynamism, there is no shortage of opportunities to assert themselves.
Although still working in Hanoi, Lo Thi Thuong An (24 years old, Na Tau commune, Dien Bien Phu city) has a clear plan for her return date. Graduated in Preschool Education in Dien Bien, she chose the capital as a place to develop her career with the work of education in the past 2 years.
"I will definitely choose the most suitable time to return to my hometown. I believe that many other young people are also cherishing similar plans and have made their own plans" - Thuong An commented.

To prepare for new opportunities and a new working environment, Ms. An not only relies on pedagogical expertise but also accumulates more experience and other skills to be able to work in parallel with a "left-hand job".
Facing an important crossroads, Ms. An said that it is necessary to prepare carefully, have a solid plan, experience and finances.
The journey to return to the countryside is not only a change in living space but also a search for the meaning of work and happiness in its own way, requiring careful preparation.
